2019 m. vasario 5 – gegužės 11 d. Lietuvos ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigose vykdomas projektas „Lietuvos mažųjų žaidynės“. Projekto organizatoriai: Lietuvos tautinis olimpinis komitetas (LTOK), Respublikinė ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigų kūno kultūros pedagogų asociacija (RIUKKPA).
„Lietuvos mažųjų žaidynės“ – projektas, skirtas skatinti vaikus pajusti judėjimo džiaugsmą, susipažinti su olimpinėmis vertybėmis sporte ir gyvenime. Tai puiki priemonė, skatinanti vaikų fizinį aktyvumą bei pozityvų požiūrį į kūno kultūrą ir sportą. Vaikai yra supažindinami su garbingo varžymosi idėjomis, bendravimo ir bendradarbiavimo galimybėmis. Projekto metu parengtos judėjimo užduotys ir metodinės rekomendacijos tapo daugumos ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigų ugdymo programų dalimi.
